Retiring again

As someone who has also worked with handicapped kids and adults, I know you will miss some of them quite a bit. I did my old job for 19 years and I still miss talking to a lot my friends. Not everybody can do that kind of work, so you should be proud of your retirement job.

I enjoyed my retirement job a lot more than my regular job. I got hugs today from them and they didn't want me to go. They are incredible people.

I commend you on your second job. Working with anybody who is in need of help is a very good thing and so rewarding. My daughter and her adopted son, our grandson, are working with the homeless people down in L.A.. Our grandson is afflicted with fetal alcohol syndrome. His mother was an alcoholic in Kazakhstan. I have no idea how to spell that.

Today is my last day at my retirement job. Retired from my regular job 19 years ago and have worked at this job for 18 years sometimes full time but mostly part-time. I've been working with mentally handicapped adults. Now I will have more time for my scrollsaw and lathe.

Thank you for dedecated service to the folks with mental challenges. takes a special person . Enjoy your retirement

Congratulations, but now you are going to discover that you are busier than you ever were before, but the stress levels will be way down now.

I think I've retired 5 times, so far, each time saying to my self "That's it, I can now take it easy for the rest of my life". But staying active has always been my way of life. I just can't stop for very long, but now I try to only accept work that pays very well and is short or part time or is just something that I really want to do. Driving the train in my Avatar for the town park was one of them that I really wanted to do. I'm now almost finished building my first very own pro photo/video studio. Again, mostly to stay active. It's not intended to be a business, since it's planned to be just for friends and family, but it's keeping me busy. Covid has put a significant delay in my progress though.
