Lots of stables and equestrian centers near you $$$$ :)

I started on the 1936 Ford yesterday. I started at the rear of the car, struggling a little so far as I try to familiar myself with the spiral blades again. It is not perfect but I am not giving up this time. I was doing the last little bit on the windshield and when I drilled the last hole in it, the windshield broke out as I removed the drill bit from the hole. That is not going to make me give up as I can still glue it in place when I am through cutting it.

Hi Dick. Never had much luck with spiral blades. I tended to wander too much. I cut my plaques on 1/8" BBPW and use Scrolleronline. 0/3 Puzzle blades. I also would score the grill pattern with a Exacto knife and a straight edge to help keep the blade on track. I would always reinsert the cutouts and not cut the top out until I had taped down the rest of the pattern of the grill. That kept everything more stable especially when sanding the back to clean out the fuzzies.

Some great tips I will try to remember them. I have never used puzzle blades. I know I do not have the skills you have but at least I am not giving up on this one. It looks like I may have it cut out before I go to bed tonight. On the front bumper I am going to cut those two little lines, using only one line. I love the pattern detail but it is very difficult one for me to cut. I did not make it as large as I would have liked to because I have too much trouble finding the entrance holes on a larger board. Being larger really helps cutting small detail because the smaller cut lines are a little larger and hence easier to cut. I have never tried to top feed my blades as It is going against the blade teeth and I try to keep my drill bits as close to the size of the blades I am using to minimize the tear out on the back of the board, unless there are a lot of room in the cut outs, then of course that isn't effected. I will try your tape suggestion when I finish cutting. Too late for replacing the cut out pieces though. I really appreciate the patterns as well as helpful information. I will succeed in getting this one done and hopefully be cutting another of your patterns before  too long.
