Popular Post don in brooklin on Posted June 5, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted June 5, 2021 In Canada we got off to a slow start in administering vaccines so the wait time was extended to 16 weeks. I got my first in March and wasn't scheduled to get second until July 24th. Now that supply has ramped up, second doses are being accelerated. My daughter saw on TV that the region next to ours had openings and so they made them available to anyone 70+. (current level is 80+) On the computer and a 30 minute drive later all done. Quite happy. Altered Steve Goods pattern so I could post on Facebook to give my kids a laugh. lawson56, FrankEV, TexasDIY and 10 others 11 2 Quote

barb.j.enders Posted June 6, 2021 Report Posted June 6, 2021 Hopefully in MB I should be eligible by end of week next week for shot 2. Can't wait!!! Quote
wombatie Posted June 6, 2021 Report Posted June 6, 2021 I have to wait until August for my second shot, so well done for getting both. Great looking sign. Marg Quote
Frank Pellow Posted June 6, 2021 Report Posted June 6, 2021 I like it Don. I hope to get our second shots booked tomorrow and to get the actual shots before the end of June. I altered Steve's plans a little bit to make pins to wear once we are fully vaccinated: I will probably wear the more subtle one in public but the blatant one with family and close friends. heppnerguy, danny and lawson56 3 Quote
don in brooklin on Posted June 6, 2021 Author Report Posted June 6, 2021 Love the idea of the pin. We ended up in Stoufville as they didnot have enough people so they opened it up to anyone over 70. Really slick operation. It was Moderna. Frank Pellow 1 Quote

I received a phone call from the VA asking me if I was going to get my vaccination. I told them yes and asked how long was the wait list.. They gave me a time the next morning at 8am. two weeks later, same time frame, I got my second one. I also was talking with one of my morning coffee group guys and he had mentioned that he had received the Johnson and Johnson, one shot vaccination the day before. I asked where he got it and he gave me a phone number. An hour later I had my wife call the phone number and she went in and got her shot the next morning. No waiting for either of us. I was really surprised. Everyone wishing to have the shot has had many opportunities to do so, here in the Phoenix area and they are now administering them to people as young as 16 years old. Quote
