Tbow388 Posted June 7, 2021 Report Posted June 7, 2021 I currently have a Delta 40-694 20" There is a local guy here that has a 21" Excalibur still in the box. Would it be an upgrade, even or downgrade? OCtoolguy 1 Quote
WayneMahler Posted June 7, 2021 Report Posted June 7, 2021 Depends on where it was made. The models made in Taiwan are good, the newer made in China not so much. GrampaJim and OCtoolguy 2 Quote
ben2008 Posted June 7, 2021 Report Posted June 7, 2021 i have an Excalibur I purchased 9 years ago from Ray at Seyco. It was made in Taiwan and works just fine. I agree with Wayne. Make sure it was made in Taiwan. If not....I would pass. OCtoolguy 1 Quote
BadBob Posted June 7, 2021 Report Posted June 7, 2021 Upgrade if made in Taiwan. I bought mine used several years ago. Parts and support are available from Ray at Seyco OCtoolguy 1 Quote
OCtoolguy Posted June 7, 2021 Report Posted June 7, 2021 I have 2. One Canadian and one Taiwan. I would not part with either one. And I started with a Dewalt that was the forerunner to your Delta. Be careful, but if it's a Taiwan saw, go for it. If you do, check out the Pegas upgraded clamps and tension lever. Well worth the cost. WayneMahler 1 Quote
