Dave Monk
I've made a lot of these name puzzles. I usually set my saw at a 4 degree angle so the letters go in easier. This is the font I use so I don't have to worry about islands. wombatie, spirithorse, goldfish and 6 others

barb.j.enders
Very nice clean work. I have done 4 of them now. I like the font called Sniglet from Dafont.com. I also paint the backer letter space the same colour as the letters. This is one of the four that I have done. I've made a few but hadn't thought about cutting on an angle and will be doing that from now one. It can be pretty tedious even for a grown up putting the letters in. Do you know the name of this font? I searched for Word Art and didn't come up with anything. don in brooklin on
I know this is an older post but I would like to know what you use for paint. Is it approved as child safe? I have used vegetable dye but it is not bright. Thanks smitty0312
FrankEV
I beleive any good quality brand of a gloss enamel is considered safe for children these day since lead is no longer use in paints. A good primer and then paint with multiple coats will give a hard, safe mouthable coating. Laike anything else, reading the lable is always a good I dea. smitty0312
