An old favourite

Did this as requested by a friend. I hope she likes it.  Happy to be back at my saw.

An A4 piece of 3mm B/B,

#3 Niqua ultra reverse blade,

3mm birch painted black for the backer.

The frame is Oak and was a tad fiddly to make and not perfect by a long chalk. 12½" x 9". H. Botas pattern.

Very nicely done, both cutting and Frame...nice tight miters. Your friend will be thrilled.

Glad to see you are back.  For us not in the know, your absence was dully noted.

And, I see,  back to you old tricks of using phrases somewhat like, but not the same as, we use over here across the pond. You said: "not perfect by a long chalk".  We would say "long shot".   To me Chalk is something you write on a blackboard with.

I did put an explanation for my absence Frank, but working at my saw once more is a boon.

Thank you, it does help but only time will heal.

beautiful work,  I still dont do the crafting like i did before my mom passed. she was my worse best critic...when she said it was well done I KNEW i had done a good job. she would inspire me and give me tips on howto make what ever i was doing better.  i still miss her. I have found however that thinking about her when i do crafting gives me a warm feeling and i strive to make my work something she would like.  but this of course took time...its been 6 years since she left us.  condolences on your lost.  perhaps putting yourself and your friend into your work will help you deal with your pain until the wounds heal a bit.

I personally know about how this virus can unexpectedly catch people off guard and
