Popular Post Dak0ta52 Posted September 7, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted September 7, 2021 This is another repeat cut for me as it was commissioned. Another Steve Good pattern cut from a 1 X 12 pine finished with natural stain and multiple coats of clear gloss lightly sanded between each coat. The back is 1/4 ply painted black. I used a Pegas #2/0 spiral and #3 MFG. This was really my first experience with the spiral blade. It took some getting use to but eventually got the hang of it. I did notice cutting pine the blade would pause and then advance quickly then pause again as it traveled through the grain in the board. I also noticed you would have to be careful not to let the blade drift with the grain rather than following the line. Anyway, this catches me up on my commissions. Next weekend I'm cutting something I've been wanting to cut. Scrappile, lawson56, wombatie and 10 others 13 Quote
Scrappile Posted September 7, 2021 Report Posted September 7, 2021 Very well done... I would think pine would be hard to cut with any small blade, because of the grain..I have never tried cutting pine on a scroll saw.. Dak0ta52 1 Quote
