Popular Post RabidAlien
This one is called "Elaborate Plaque". Probably about 16 hours' worth of cutting (half of that drilling pilot holes, it seems). 1/2" whiteboard, Pegas #3MG blades (four, I think). Sanded to 220grit, Minwax DarkWalnut stain. Pattern is from Charles Hand's "Circular Scroll Saw Designs" book, found it on Amazon after someone else posted a pattern from it here on the forums. I'd recommend reading the first page or two, there's a couple of steps you can take (quick and easy) and they'll email you PDF versions of any of the patterns. I asked for and received all of the patterns from the book, since I'm not sure which ones I'll eventually cut (I have two more patterns printed, prepped, drilled, and ready to go). Easy pattern to cut, really, if you're not afraid of angles (if you are, this one will give you PLENTY of practice). The hardest part was the mind-numbing center rings. The center circle was easy, just cut the interior circle, then go back and cut the spokes. The first ring of "petals"......well, that's why I have an audio book going while I cut. Made it less tedious. Not a joy, just.....less tedious. LOL FrankEV, lawson56, Dave Monk and 10 others

Dak0ta52
Wow! Nice cutting. The thickness of the wood gives it a lot of depth. RabidAlien
preprius
Incredible effort. Is there a planned use? A holloween eyeball for pumpkin would be a temporary application. Orange light or radioactive green behind it. I agree, the wood depth makes it intriguing. RabidAlien
