Scrappile Posted October 2, 2021 Report Posted October 2, 2021 I see ads for little plastic triangular things, to buy, to put pieces on that are being spray lacquered or painted... I say why not start collecting these cut little items that come on my Pizzas that I love so much.. They are in the middle of each pizza, inside the box.... They work great when spray paining a piece of something... Okay.. I'm crazy, but really they work great.. RabidAlien, danny and jr42 3 Quote
Foxfold Posted October 2, 2021 Report Posted October 2, 2021 I've never had a Pizza delivered, but may well try it now. !!! Quote
Scrappile Posted October 2, 2021 Author Report Posted October 2, 2021 Even the ones I pickup at a pizza place to take home to eat, have these... Quote
merlin Posted October 2, 2021 Report Posted October 2, 2021 That's great Scrappile...but Over here in NZ I've never seen or heard of them. What do they do for the pizza... Merlin... Quote
dgman Posted October 2, 2021 Report Posted October 2, 2021 They keep the box top from smashing onto the pizza when they are stacked. Quote

meflick Posted October 2, 2021 Report Posted October 2, 2021 They quit using those in my parts, at least Dominos did and they are only place that delivers to my house. Quote
Scrappile Posted October 2, 2021 Author Report Posted October 2, 2021 Dominos!?? Come on... Just kidding,, I get these from "Papa John's"... the best local "Brickhouse pizza" you will never taste better, but other big chain pizzas.... Murphy's... maybe only a west coast thing... Quote
Dak0ta52 Posted October 3, 2021 Report Posted October 3, 2021 Neat idea but I'm in the same boat as some of the others. I live in a very rural area and only UPS, FedEx and Amazon deliver way out here. Maybe someone with a 3D printer can work something up and sell them reasonably to those who want them. Quote
ChelCass Posted October 3, 2021 Report Posted October 3, 2021 I have several of these upstairs in my craft room (I never throw anything out I think I can reuse) guess I will have to give hubby a couple. These could easily be made with a scrap of wood and a few nails also. Quote
barb.j.enders Posted October 3, 2021 Report Posted October 3, 2021 Some of the pizza joints here use a dough ball in the middle instead of those! Yum!!!! meflick 1 Quote
RabidAlien Posted October 3, 2021 Report Posted October 3, 2021 Another (slower to collect) piece I read about years ago and tried is to save the little plastic piece that's under the cap when you open a new stick of deodorant. I have a plastic cup full of them. Different brands have different shapes, OldSpice tends to be rounded on top and kinda wobbly, so when I use them, I use one on each corner, or if its a small, thin piece, just balance as best I can. When staining, I usually just lay the piece directly on a towel to avoid the inevitable darker patches around the cuttings where stain slowly seeps but doesn't form a drip. When I'm using an aerosol can, these lifters are wonderful! meflick 1 Quote
