Great job, Tbow. I've seen the horse pattern and have been tempted to cut it. Just been busy with other projects. The frame on John Wayne's portrait has amazing wood grain. Your wood selection and finishing is over the top!

Great work.  Nice frames.

I also, enjoy making frames for all of my Portrait type panels.  Defenitely makes the work a much more finished project.  

I have been using only stained or painted Poplar for most of my frames due to the cost and the lack of availability of other wood.   Would love to find a source of othere kinds of affordable wood for frames to add some more veratility  to my projects.

FrankEV………I use a lot of reclaimed pallet wood for my frames. I scorch and then varnish!

Cheap too!
