An interesting youtube channel for the Hegner owners. It's in German but can be translated into English subtitles.

I ran across this fellow's channel the other day and even though it's all in German, I was able to decipher most of it. There is a setting to translate into English.

He has some things that might interest most any scroller. And in some of his videos he has a Pegas too. I just watched how he managed to cut an 80 millimeter piece of wood on his Hegner by using some bandsaw blade material for a longer blade and open up the spread of his saw. Thinking outside of the box.

I'm so sorry to have cost you money. How bad do you need that reindeer head? Lol.

I was trying to cut an enlarged set of reindeer designed for a scroll saw that I found in an old magazine. A customer wants them 10-inches tall. It has proved challenging. It looks like the Pegas bandsaw would make these easily.

These are about 3-inches tall.

Can't they be cut lying on their sides?

I made reindeers from a 2x4 of cedar on my 14" Delta bandsaw.  Just mount up the smallest blade you can find, I think I used a 1/8" blade.  There is a guide from Clark, I believe, that helps make tight turns a bit easier.  I have one, but the product name eludes me at the moment.

Think the name is Carter?

Yes, but the block of wood must be thicker by at least 1/4-inch. I like to have 1/4-inch all round. Using 3/4-inch stock that is 4-5 pieces to glue up.

Just buy the bandsaw.. you know you want it anyway, 😂 .. Tax write off for  the business too.. 😂
