Popular Post Scrappile
Got it done... I really think the assembly and finishing was more difficult than the scrolling part... Usually is for me...But it was worth the effort,,,, now I have to decide what to do with it! I lined the inside of the "box" part with some veneer that I stained a dark color. Finished with about 6 coats of Deft gloss lacquer. The wood is 1/4" Mahogany from Ocooch Hardwoods. I would like to do another one just because I really enjoyed building this one... FrankEV
That is an absolutely beautiful clock. The fretwork is wonderful. I would find making a clock like that pure enjoyment and would do it in a heartbeat if was something I would hang in my own home. Unfortunately, there is really very little wall space left in my house and the motif just would not blend in. So, i'll just continue to do my Art that I can hang in the galery and hopefully sell some now and then. Scrappile

Some young child on the side standing on a long tube trumpet. So well done. Scrappile

spirithorse
Heirloom quality for sure! I'd love to make a clock like that for our home but, just the price of clock movements is enough to deter me. Fantastic craftsmanship! Thanks for sharing and God Bless! Tomanydogs
Wow Paul you have made a beautiful clock!!! Lining the inside with veneer is an awesome idea, I would never have thought of that. I hope you signed and dated it somewhere because it will be around for many many decades. kmmcrafts
Wow! That is very nicely done.. One of these type clocks has been on my bucket list for a while.. Where is the pattern from? I have a few patterns from the Cherry Tree patterns set I bought on a CD when they was going out of business.. There are like 1800 patterns on it.. I've done maybe 100 of them, LOL Scrappile
