Did you use different wood for nose and eyes? How thick is this piece? What technique did you use for the hair / fur? I just start with a single piece of 1x12 pine. Then I shape the individual pieces and add quarter inch plywood risers under the parts that need to be raised. The black for the nose and eyes, I use a sharpie marker for. The hair/fur is made by attaching a metal cutting wheel to my Dremel and scoring the wood where I want the fur, as well as which direction.
