Seasonal Plaque “take two for 2021”

Back in November of 2020, I posted a plaque I designed and cut that I intended to hang on the front of our house.  It was a play on Winter Wonderland Plaques but made for Winter in Florida.

The post was: https://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/topic/40845-seasonal-plaque/?tab=comments#comment-444798.  There was just one problem, I spelled the Word “Welcome” with two ‘L’s”.  So, it never got hung.

Now it is almost November 2021, so I decided to remake it for this winter.  It is the exact same pattern, with “Welcome” spelled correctly.  Only change was a slight increase in size to 12” x18”.

Words and trees once again cut from 1/4" Maple solid core Plywood and affixed to a 1/2" sanded plywood backer painted Oaisis Blue.  Trees painted with Artist Acrylic paints.  Plaque was made weatherproof with multiple coats of spray clear gloss polyurethane.

So, like I said in that post, come this Winter solstice I'll swap my "Happy Fall Y'all" plaque for this "Welcome to Our Winter Wonderland" plaque.

I like the coloring and brightness of the second plaque much better. More vibrant! ...

Believe it or not, side by side they look almost identical colorwise.

I did not reshoot the 2020 plaque.  It is the original picture I posted last year.

I now have a much better camera and lighting system that brings out the colors much better.
