Charlie E Posted October 23, 2021 Report Posted October 23, 2021 (edited) This is Nova, from Planet of the Apes. If you're not familiar, she was named for the chrome Nova logo like this one that she liked. In this picture she is riding horseback behind Caesar the head ape, carrying a handmade doll that ends up playing a huge part in the demise of the evil Woody Harrelson. 1/2" red oak, about 8" X 10". Scrappile Posted October 23, 2021 Report Posted October 23, 2021 (edited) Very nice portrait cutting!,,, and the way you did the "Nova" at the bottom really pushes it up several notches....but this old man does not remember.... Maybe I can find that series of movies and rewatch them.. I know I enjoyed them... Edited October 23, 2021 by Scrappile Charlie E 1 Quote

Maybe I can find that series of movies and rewatch them.. I know I enjoyed them... Nova shows up in the third/last movie of the newer series . These movies chronologically precede the one with Charlton Heston so she is the younger Nova who winds up as Charlton's mute companion in the 1968 film. Quote
