I like the raw wood but in this case, it seems the stain is appropriate, maybe clear oak or colorless stain but no paint. John B Posted October 30, 2021 Report Share Posted October 30, 2021 Very nice Eric. I like a little colour, but in this case I think a couple of coats of clear would make it pop. heppnerguy Posted November 2, 2021 Report Share Posted November 2, 2021 Steve Good used to use lemon oil on a lot of his first patterns. He just dipped them in the oil and dried them off. It brings out the color of the wood really well and it is so easy to do. This method does not really put an long lasting result, as the oil eventually dissipates, but it can be redone about anytime it is needed. Just a thought.
