Foxfold Posted October 30, 2021 Report Posted October 30, 2021 Looks like a sweet easy done puzzle. Quote
preprius Posted October 30, 2021 Report Posted October 30, 2021 It looks like the owl is above the background. Shadows tell me this. But it came from the same piece of wood. So it might use a "relief" cut first. That is the outer edge of the owl cut at an small angle like 6 deg or smaller. Then the owl falls out of the back. But wont fall through the top. Then they puzzle up the owl. Stain a few pieces. Put the pieces back. Stuff it in the back and it pops out the front. Glue it from the back. Quote
rjR Posted October 30, 2021 Report Posted October 30, 2021 Very nice. I like that it is simple and some younger child can still succeed in solving the riddle. Quote
Charlie E Posted October 30, 2021 Report Posted October 30, 2021 I've made a couple of those. Cute little puzzles. Nice job! Quote
Dak0ta52 Posted October 31, 2021 Report Posted October 31, 2021 Excellent cutting, Eric. That looks like red oak. Pretty hard wood. It turned out great. Quote
Eric67 Posted October 31, 2021 Author Report Posted October 31, 2021 Thank you everybody. My wood's knowledge isn't very well, it's oak but I don't know the type. You are probably right Rodney. I'll go find out. Here, we currently have some stunning fall colors Enjoy your Sunday. Eric John B 1 Quote
