Popular Post Old Joe Posted November 1, 2021 Popular Post Report Posted November 1, 2021 (edited) I made this for my wife. Everybody comes with baggage, she came with cats and for 44 years she has pretty much always had two cats. Steve Good pattern. Made with 1/4” African Padauk and Zebrawood and a Baltic Birch backboard painted black. I tried to stack cut them first, but I used too small of a blade and it flexed just enough to not give a mirror image. It wouldn’t be worth the amount of sanding to save it, so I cut them individually with a Pegas MG#3 and it was a piece of cake. I applied several coats of semi-gloss lacquer.BTW, my wife loved it. preprius Posted November 1, 2021 Report Posted November 1, 2021 That is a good use of zebra wood. Of course for the orange cat Padauk. I like it. Ooops do I see little hearts on the ear holes? Oh that get extra points. Mark Old Joe and heppnerguy 2 Quote
FrankEV Posted November 1, 2021 Report Posted November 1, 2021 Very nice work and a good conversation starter. While my wife was alive, we always had a minimum of two cats and one dog. Always loved having pets but since I moved to Florida have I gone animal free. At this stage in my life I prefer not to have to worry about the pets when we want to travel. Old Joe 1 Quote
heppnerguy Posted November 2, 2021 Report Posted November 2, 2021 I have not seen this pattern as I went through Steve Good's patterns, he has so many of them. I can easily see why your wife was so happy with them. They came out really appealing. Good job. Dick heppnerguy Quote
