Just reached a point in a project that I am thinking adding more will take away from the subject. Please tell me what you think about it. backing: sanded plywood painted patriot blue North America: Walnut Mexico: Purpleheart South America: Yellowheart Africa: Zebrawood Europe: Olivewood Asia: East Indian Rosewood Australia: Red Grandis all dipped with Teak oil. Hope you enjoy this endeavor I tackled. Took me about two months to get to this point. Probably going to have an oak border on it. preprius
This is a really great idea. But please consider the wood, Aspen or Basswood, for the ice caps. No teak oil.

The only problem is it was getting out of the price range of the customer.

I have been wanting to make a world map too but never seem to get around to doing it. Your different woods really make this one stand out well. Beautiful and useful project Dick heppnerguy I had someone request this exact same kind of a map but I never could figure out how to go about making the pattern. Now when i look at your project is brings me to a 'dah' moment. Not that hard to figure out how to do it once I see your piece. Again, great job Dick heppnerguy Fedido
