As a person who served in the Army, I was invited to two of my granddaughter's school to have lunch in honor of Veterans Day. Because I will be attending there for two of different girls, I will also be in two different classes. So I decided to make a couple of these teacher crosses for the girls to give to their perspective teachers, as a little gift to honor their teachers who do such a great service to our kids, helping to educate them. I saw a photo on another scroll sight of one of these crosses, so I looked and looked to see if I could obtain a pattern from the designer. I was unable to find it again, so I just made one on Inkscape from the way I remember it to look. Not sure how close I was to how it was originally made and if I find out who the pattern maker is, I will pay him for the pattern, if he or she has a charge for them.

Bobby Riggs does patterns like that or Terrence Thomas. Very nice work by the way

It looks Fantastic👍👍 I use to go to my Granddaughters school for Vets, Day. But there both in Collage now and the 3rd is a Jr in High School.🙂

I enjoyed attending the celebration today with 2 of my grandchildren. I gave the teacher crosses to each of the girls to give to their teachers and both teachers looked me up and thanked me for them and I also got a hug from both of them. It was a very enjoyable time for me.

Thanks for the information. I am not familiar with either of those pattern makers and I will look them up and if I find the one that made the pattern, I will buy the pattern from him. I am not sure how close I was with this pattern as I made it from my memory and that really is not that good any more.

Very nice job, Dick. Love your choice of wood.

Rodney, thank you for the nice compliment.  I found the wood at the wood store and the price was really good so I could not pass it up. I have never seen this wood at the wood store before and I do not remember the name of it but it was a nice hard wood and cut quite nicely so I think I may just be picking up quite a bit more next trip there.

Great Job Dick.

Very nice gift too. Teachers that actually care are very unappreciated. These will most likely become  their treasures.

I don't know about that but they both looked me up and thanked me and gave me a hug. So I figured I scored at least for today

If you find out what type of wood it is, please let us know. Thanks.
