How thick is the cut panel?  Looks thick. 

It is just me, but I prefer to use thin material for flat work since ther is less visible cut surfaces.

Nice project.  Still haven't gotten around to cut any of Jim Blumes pattern but I certainly want to do some, as they are such nicely done patterns with some challenge in them to make them interesting to cut.

I love his patterns, have about 20 more in a row on my cut list. The laughing Jesus was one I asked him to do. It's a favorite pic of my pastors family. It's in the new patterns here in the villiage.
