OMG! What did I do now? Please advise if I said something wrong.

It was nothing you said Ray, but I think I ruffled a few feathers with my answer.   But to be fair, I stand by my post. Which was not political in anyway shape or form as I know zilch about US governance, so wouldn't comment on that.                                                                                      Just a shame I didn't keep a copy as I couldn't write it again verbatim.  🤣

Travis, you may want to change the description of what the "Coffee House" forum is all about. Or add some more to it.

I think the words '' I just want to remind everybody that political discussions and debates are not allowed on SSV.''

Are suffice and concise enough for anyone to comprehend.

I also agree with Travis and what he says. Politics and religion are beliefs people have and although I appreciate that someone has a different view point on these subjects then I may have, I do not like someone trying to run their ideas on this subject down my throat. Everyone is free to believe what they wish and they should be willing to talk about why they believe something to be true , even if it does not agree with my view point, but only for discussion in a friendly way and not to try and prove another persons view to be wrong. This is NOT a place they need to do this but in a private discussion, in person, should one wish to discus their view points.

That's why God invented the PM section. Les and I used to have some great conversations there. I sure miss him.

I don't like to see politics on this site and I always stay mostly out of conversation of politic online.. I do enjoy reading others opinions on polatics and world news and what have you but I do typically keep my opinions to myself.. Boy there sure gets to be some heated topics that goes into a grade school kids name calling etc. etc. We sure don't want that here and I totally respect the policies we have in place here.

God knows that there are enough other places to discuss any subject you can name. Let's keep this scrollsaw related as sort of a safe haven, a place to get away from things so to speak. And even then, the discussions here can sometimes be a bit testy when brands, types of blades, techniques and even how to affix a pattern are discussed. Please just state your case and avoid domination or calling out others for not doing it your way. In other words, let's be adult about things and enjoy our craft and maybe even use this forum to help and encourage others.

Must confess Jim, I'm a relative newbie, but I've joined and then left several other 'scrollsaw groups' as I personally found them unpalatable, however, this group was the first that I found on my scrollsaw journey and is now the only one I belong to..  People on here are the most helpful bunch you'll find anywhere on the planet. They've steered me through so much, what machine, what wood, how to, how not too.!!  I'm tremendously indebted to this community.  Very occasionally a 'squabble' rears it's head but Travis keeps us in check and then all runs smoothly again.  JMO
