Popular Post Jim Blume
We have had the crystal Nativity set for years. I decided to design a fretwork lightbox for it as an early Christmas present for my wife. She is speechless. Win Win!!! Roberta Moreton
My 28 year old granddaughter LOVES Harry Potter. We have read all the books, seen all the movies, even went to the bookstore openings for the newest book! Last week, she asked if I make wizard wands. Of course I do. I’ll see her tomorrow. The wood is pecan and walnut. Edited December 21, 2021 by Roberta Moreton Wood definition Jronn65, Fab4, ChelCass and 4 others

preprius
Well this is a add on gift.. It is more of name tag / gift. I wanted to play with a compound cut. I have not tried this because of lettering. So this name tag shows 2 cellos on one side and grand niece's name on other side. She plays a cello but is getting a higher tech electric cello for a gift. Electric cello is better for college students. I used myrtle wood but thought it needed a slight stain. I used a slight orange dye over the stained letters and cello only. The rest had no orange dye. Font is "Playbill". My theme was going toward a western look. Jronn65, RabidAlien, ChelCass and 2 others
CrewChief130
My son and grandson are restoring an old Chevy pickup completely off the frame, everything new except the body (which has work on it too). I took a picture of the truck before it was taken apart and Photoshoped it into a pattern. The truck is in 1/4" maple resawn from a tree I cut down behind the house a few years ago. The frame is left over white oak from when we put in our wood floors. I dyed the frame black for the truck to stand out. This was my gift to my Grandson for Christmas.
