I used contact paper on the back side to hold the resin in place til it set up.

Worked perfect.....no seepage at all.

I've been wanting to try resin on some of my patterns.  Need to just take the leap and give it a try.  I'm guessing, on yours, that the contact paper is still on the back?  The pattern and resin look great, but I'm imagining it with a light source (window, LED strip, etc) behind it and how stunning it would be lit up.

No sir.

Once it sets up about 30 hours, I took the contact paper off it.

It retracted light nicely, however, I put it on a backer board.
