Popular Post ChelCass
Scroll sawing area. My new she shed where I will be doing all my scrolling. Still need to put up (buy) the wall paneling and ceiling tiles. Half of the shop is for Scrolling and the other half I will be doing my Stained Glass. Oh! and a spot for Sadie............................Hubby made me a new stand for my saw and it works like a charm. Currently bidding on a Craftsman's work station, my desk is buried in the barn (will get in the spring). Will put up shelves after the paneling in up. All other furniture and cabinets will go in the shop in the spring. Did do a test cut to try out the new saw stand......................game changer. I can see so much better with the saw tipped. Should have done it long ago. We put in 3 LED shop lights (Menards). Very bright. Still need to find a good propane wall heater and bring my hot pot in for when I want a cup of tea. Also will be putting running water in come spring time...................Looks like we will be really busy this spring....lol Matt B, Roberta Moreton, Wichman and 10 others
meflick
Congratulations on the new stand and shop. Sadie looks to have a great spot to supervise from. My golden does not like coming out to the shop. She prefers the comfort of the house. I pray that Spring comes early. For you. wombatie
What a great New Year gift for you. You certainly are going to be busy in the spring. I would like a new shop but I will have to put up with sharing the garage with hubby. Marg OCtoolguy and ChelCass 1
Dak0ta52
Congrats on the new setup. I've been thinking of doing something similar. I have a 1600 sq/ft shop but it's not climate controlled. Thinking of either building a room or purchasing a shed to go inside where I can put my saw and a few basic tools... as well as heat and air. ChelCass
Thanks everybody, I have been saving up for this shed for a while. It is Amish built as a garden shed and Hubby is converting it to my She Shed. He is doing all the re-studding, wiring, insulation, flooring, paneling and ceiling. It is 10x16 so it is easy to heat. Just big enough for my two hobbies. We will paint it to match the house and other outbuildings. OCtoolguy and meflick
BadBob
I would use plywood on the walls. That way you can hang aything on the wall anywhere you like. OCtoolguy, John B and Greatgrandpawrichard 2
kywoodmaster
Nice workshop. Put pegboard on the walls it opens up all kind of storage possibilities. ChelCass and OCtoolguy
ChelCass
I am putting paneling on the walls to cover the insulation, Then I will put some pegboard up in two different areas. We are putting shelves (stud to stud) to flat set my scrolling wood on. I don't want it standing on end as it will warp. I'm afraid plywood is just too expensive right now to use on the walls. I appreciate all the suggestions. Thanks. OCtoolguy
spirithorse
Congratulations! My wife keeps throwing the suggestion up to me to put a shop or shed out of the garage. She has a nose like a blood hound and always smells any dust, smoky smell, etc I guess I should probably beg her for the money to follow through with the suggestion, God Bless! don watson
Congratulations on a new start to the year. I am thinking of doing something similar but the main point will be a sloping table like yours. OCtoolguy

He measured my saw's base to make sure it was the correct size and he bolted the saw to the table. I have 4 different height adjustments. It sure helps with my ability to see what I'm cutting and I don't have to bend over to see what I am doing. Of course a LED shop light directly over the saw helps also. don watson
Thanks for the information, I have plans but have not yet got around to making them up. I am glad it is of benefit having an angled table as the vision over the cutting edge should be better.
