Santa was good to me!

With a very nice gift card from Woodcraft and a nice check, I was able to purchase a Laguna 14/12 band saw. The two deciding factors on this saw is 12” resaw capacity and it runs on standard 110v. I ordered the mobility kit and and a Laguna ResawKing blade. Still waiting on the blade. Looking forward to re-sawing my wood on this!

I had the 16" Laguna - a truly great machine.  Also had the resew King blade.  Never the slightest bit of drift with that saw and blade.  You will enjoy it.

When you get really good with it, I've got a great walnut log that I have been going to try my hand at resawing. I might just load it up and bring it out to you.

I could probably afford one of those, but...I would have to move my table saw, router table and sanding center out of my shop to make room for it, and it might not even fit through the short door.  Thats what you get when you move to Florida and can only have a tiny shop.

I have been looking at the Laguna resaw blade, let us know what you think of it, those are supposed to be nice saws. I was looking at one, but found a barely used powermatic, I had to purchase a riser block for it. 

I have been using the woodsliser blade from Highland Woodworking with mine.

Not sure Santa was that nice, but pretty nice. I mean you coulda gotten a new Jeep Wagoneer or something but besides that I think you need to donate that great new gift to me since my Jet bandsaw is giving me alignment problems...Merry xmas lucky guy!!!

Nice truly a great Christmas gift. My watched a glowforge add and liked the lamp.  I told her get me a glowforge and i will make her one. All was going good until I told her the price. I doubt I get one for a Christmas gift ever.
