Popular Post Dan
This is a Steve Good pattern. I've seen @smitty0312 work with crackle paint and wanted to give it a try. I'm surprised at how easy it is. It took a few tries to get the crackle like I wanted it but I like the outcome. This is not yet assembled but I wanted to share it because I'm bad at showing my work. This will go in our kitchen. crupiea, Jim McDonald, jr42 and 12 others 14
John B
You did a good job on the paint Dan. It all looks good. I have made crackle paint, accidentally and unwanted I made a Barbie sized doll house and painted it semi gloss white with acrylic paint. A few days later I gave it two coats of gloss lacquer. About a month later the customer asked if I could do something about her "Crackle Painted Dolls house. Sand the whole thing down coat with flat white and two coats of gloss lacquer and all was well. If you use a paint with a gloss finish it has to dry for at least a week before coating with lacquer and then only a thin 1st coat. Apparently the additives that make it gloss react with thinners. Totally of topic.
