Juan Rodriguez
I was wondering if any one has used or is using the Niqua scroll saw blades. I realize this is an objective topic, so any opinion you may have will be appreciated. Compare to any other blades? Thanks! glenwood
I always have used Niqua blades since I started scrolling in 1995. Niqua also make the Flying Dutchman blades, Mike used that as his trademark when he imported them for the American Market. Denny Knappen
Yes, Flying Dutchman is Niqua. I used them for years, but now I am a Pegas dealer, so I use Pegas blades. FrankEV, OCtoolguy and GrampaJim
Foxfold
Yes, I've always used them. Easier to get hold of here in the UK, never had a problem and very rarely break. OCtoolguy

I use Pegas blades and am very pleased with them. I am a relatively newcomer to the hobby, bought my scroll saw a year and a half ago along with a gross of each of my preferred blades and still have plenty. So, I have not yet had cause to try the Niqua blades. If you search this forum for discussion about blades you will find much commentary. Niqua (aka Flying Dutchman) and Pegas get lots of good comments. By the way, you usually get the best price when you buy them by the gross. You are right about the gross price, but I also list a 3 dozen/pack Pegas repackaged, and the price is the same per dozen price as the gross price. old sarge
I had never heard of the Niqua brand. So I found a write-up and blog with some comparison photos (Flying Dutchman tho and not Niqua). Great to gain new knowledge. fredfret
I believe sawbird is also a rebrand of niqua. OCtoolguy
don watson
I also use Niqua blades as it easier to obtain them in the UK. I still use Pegas or Olson if a need a special blade.
don in brooklin on
I am a die hard Flying Dutchman (Niqua) user. I have tried the Pegas MGT and found they are more aggressive. It just takes getting used to it. I also find the Ultra reverse leave a cleaner cut on the interior verses the reverse that I bought. My conclusion is that the best blade is the one you get used to. Frank Pellow
Like Don, my go-to Regular blades are Flying Dutchman (Niqua) Ultra Re verse blades. But, I prefer the Pegas brand of Spiral blades.
