Popular Post jamieline Posted January 22, 2022 Popular Post Report Posted January 22, 2022 Needed a break from cutting puzzles and with icing conditions outside decided to cut another Americana Series from Jim Blume. I cut #1 yesturday. I had cut #2 last week. First time using sprial blades. Thanks Jim Blume for great patterns. Going to do more of the series. I have #12 ready to start on. Now to make frames. FrankEV Posted January 22, 2022 Report Posted January 22, 2022 Very nice work. Especially for first time using spirals. Jims patterns are great. Quote
Dak0ta52 Posted January 23, 2022 Report Posted January 23, 2022 Excellent work. I'm also working on the Americana series by Jim. Just too cold to get into my shop. Quote
wombatie Posted January 23, 2022 Report Posted January 23, 2022 They look great. Congratulations you got the hang of the spirals straight away, I still hate them. Marg danny 1 Quote
Joe W. Posted January 23, 2022 Report Posted January 23, 2022 That's tempting me to give spirals a try. Well done. danny 1 Quote
meflick Posted January 23, 2022 Report Posted January 23, 2022 Nice work. @Jim Blume does great looking patterns. I’m sure he will be happy to see your cut from one of his patterns. Quote
heppnerguy Posted January 24, 2022 Report Posted January 24, 2022 I also love Jim Blume patterns and plan to cut some soon. You did a great job on both of these and congratulations on giving the spiral blades a go. So many either refuse to give them a shot or did not like what happened when they did and refuse to give them another try. Practice makes perfect. a little time and soon one will get the feel of of them. Dick heppnerguy don watson 1 Quote
rdatelle Posted January 24, 2022 Report Posted January 24, 2022 Those came out great. I still can't get used to the spirals. Still messing with them though. Quote
jamieline Posted January 24, 2022 Author Report Posted January 24, 2022 Thanks all. First time I tried the sprials did not like them but took some time with them and kind of like them for the application here. I picked up a good selection of the Pegus Sprials from Dennis and will continue to use them. I have made other plaques using the straight blades but will switch to the sprials for those. Yes the more you practice the better. Have to get better following the pattern but with the type patterns I going to use the sprials on there is some forgiveness. Working on another project but will post when framed. Already started cutting another in the Americana series. don watson 1 Quote
