WolfmoonCT
I don't know how you can cut that in an hour and a half.. Seems like anything i try to cut takes me HOURS.. the only thing I can think, is that I'm usually cutting 3/8" thick oak or ash or cherry, and usually I end up using a #2/0 blade.. occasionally I'll use a #2. Oges
Very nice Michael, well done And Kris, Dont be too concerned about comparing cutting times with others, its the end result that matters. Time depends on the material you are cutting and the thickness and also your experience. You will find your speed will get better the more you cut. I cut all my stuff out of 1/8" Baltic birch stacked 2 together.. I make 2 of everything..My only thing I can think of is that I cut out all the small cutouts 1st then the bigger ones.. So yeah it took me 45 minutes to cut out the small ones and another 45 for the rest..Easier when only cutting 1/4"..I use a #1ultra reverse usually..I would save the nice wood for the backer... wombatie
That is excellent, I love it, well done. And Kris I started to cut a Snowy Christmas scene in April and I haven't finished it yet and so far I have spent 7hours and 55 min. in cutting time. I have made lots of other things along the way but I figure this one is for me and I can take as long as I like as long as I don't break it and thats the main thing. bettyswood
For 1/8" Baltic Birch, I stack cut up to 4 pieces. Just make sure the blade is 90 degrees and a new blade helps also.
