Very simple, one hole, cut. With the right wood, sometimes that's enough. I'd describe it by saying, "Nature made a piece of art, and I put a bird on a stick on it."

I like it.  I have a Johnny Cash pattern laying on a piece of Oak out in the shop,, not sure where it is at in my queue.  LOL

You're right, Charlie. Sometimes simple is all you need. Turned out great and I love the live edge wood.

good point you made about sometimes simple and left simple, turns out to be perfect. It must be the artist in you that understood this concept. I would have overlooked the entire idea and missed an opportunity to do something artistic. Nice piece.
