Last week I did a craft show and talked to two people who scroll saw. I don't know if they sell their stuff, but I asked both of them if they were on any of the scroll saw forums. Both looked at me kind of funny and said, "No." I was shocked. How often does this happen to you?

I know a few people that scroll and do woodworking, even penturning and don't belong to any forums. I just can't seem to get them to join. Even after the question "where did you come up with that or where did you get that pattern"

One says he would be lucky to get the computer to turn on.

I shared a booth with a guy that makes beautiful boxes. He doesn't have a cell phone or use email. He browses the web about once a month, but just isn't interested.

I run into that a fair amount. I've invited several to SSV and none have showed, despite the fact I mention we have 1000+ free patterns on the site. Whenever I want to learn about something, the first place I turn to is the internet and forums. Its such a wealth of information. Plus you get to meet people who share the same interests as you, which I think is pretty cool.
