Unity Memory Box

I was commissioned to make five of these to give to all the members of the combining  family.  My clients game me the idea of the design.  The puzzle pieces are glue in.  I chose Zebra wood for the sides because it is a biracial family.

The white top makes it looks pretty clean.  Is that maple ?  What is the finish brand type.  It kept the maple a good white.

I see you kept the grain of the white center piece in the same direction as the top.

The heart in the center was cut out of the top which is maple.  I use Sherman Williams pre catalyzed medium rub lacquer which I buy by the gallon and spray it on.
