Popular Post Old Joe Posted May 10, 2022 Popular Post Report Posted May 10, 2022 (edited) I made this guy for no one in particular, but I will probably give it to someone on a whim. I don’t paint many of my projects, but this one wouldn’t look very good unpainted. Anyway a birder friend saw it and said that studies have shown that birds shy away from houses with faces if they have eyes, so I whited out the eyes. You gotta take curb appeal under serious consideration when showing a house. Hopefully this will be Gnome Sweet Gnome for some finely feathered friends. Charlie E Posted May 11, 2022 Report Posted May 11, 2022 Very cute and lots of curb appeal. I think it’s great making things with nobody in mind. The right person always pops up. Quote
Dak0ta52 Posted May 11, 2022 Report Posted May 11, 2022 A place near me sells plain bird houses with a few flowers painted onto them for $60 to $75. I can't imagine what you could get for a gnome bird house. Great job on the cut and the finish. I agree that I like the one where you painted over the eyes a lot more. Quote
wombatie Posted May 12, 2022 Report Posted May 12, 2022 The birds will be fighting to take ownership. Fabulous work. Marg Quote
