spike got one of the old scroll saws working!!

Well this morning while i was putteringaround in the kitchen spike went out and looked at the 2 scroll saws he hadnt taken apart.  I dont know what he did with the old one but hes got it working now!!! yea!!!  He looked at the newer one and the parts that hold the blades is completely different for some reason....Im searching on here now to see if i can find the post your guys sent me with the mesdage from dewalt and the picture of the inside to but cant find it....i'll keep looking off and on until i hopefuly find it again so he can take a look at it.  Thanks everybody and now i have to clean up the kitchen some before i can got out and soap the table top which seems to be all rusted now....maybe i'll take some of spikes coke and rub it on there to try to get some of the rust off before i rub it down with soap....better yet i'll google it and see what the best way to restore the table top would be.....yea!!!  well work before pleasure so if i going to play today id best get moving lol

I think this is the posting you was looking for. Glad to hear he got it working for you. I totally forgot about it as I offered to look at it. I've been so busy with repairs around the house that I've neglected over the past couple years.. I have several projects going on all at once, LOL 

I think I've heard that WD-40 and steel wool work well for cleaning up the rusty tables.. but maybe someone has a better method as I've never had a table get rusty.. guess between the Johnsons paste wax and not many tools set long enough to rust on me anyway, LOL

thanks kevin, we all get busy lol and I didnt want to bother you by asking when you might be able to come out....and I have so many different crafts that i do that i was able to keep busy and a box of stuff tht i had cut out waiting to be finished lol  spike got the rust off and used some kind of oil on it so its good as new. so now i have 2 working scroll saws and taken apart for parts should we parts. now all i have to do is clean up my woodshop! lol I tried to start that today but didnt get very far so we're going to get the wheel chair out so i can sit and go through things and find places to put things away. lol and of course i have to look through the wood i have here so i can decide what i want to get started on making. I dont do all the real fancy stuff you guys do so im woundering  if im really up to you guys standered...im looking forward to doing some more scrolling inbetween doing the carving but first i have to get my wood shop back into some kind of order lol i asked spike to put up the peg bord we have in the gragre so maybe i can hang some things up on that rather then having them laying around on the tables....Id really like to get the leath cleaned off now tht he has that fixed so i can pratice learning how to do that too...lol  spick always asks me if i ever stop thinking of things to do lol the answer is NO lol which is why i always have so many different projects going at the same time!! lol
