Just tell people the label messed him up!  Great cutting, though. Sorry it happened. May try flipping it around and removing the rear label or painting it so you don't mess up the primary label.

Forgive my ignorance. I went back and looked closer at your picture and saw that is on the back.

Yeah but it's getting worse the older I get ,lol thanks Marg!!!

rather then painting the label why  not put some mineral spirits on it and after a minute it will almost fall off and you wont need to worry about getting  paint on the record grooves.

Good luck there buddy. I was googling removing labels from records and some of those labels are pressed right into the record and almost impossible to remove. Let me know how you make out. Great job cutting it though.

I have researched this. Labels are attached while the vinyl is still warm during the manufacturing process. They are not removable. I have placed a paper insert from the record that had the center cut out to show the label over the record to provide a block while spraying the label. That worked pretty well.

Or, tape over the label, paint the rest of it to match the label, and give it a black backer.
