Here is a little project I saw on Steve Good's site last week and decided to give it a try. I am in the process of making a neighbor one of the combines like I made during Christmas last  year. I thought it would be fun to give my neighbor a windmill along with the combine to kind of set it off, as it is a farm thing too. It was a fun little project and I will most likely make a few more as I have a lot of country family folks in my family. I know they would probably like one also. It is an easy and fun project to make . This one I made with BB Ply.

I saw this on Steve's website and thought it would be a fun project. You did an outstanding job. Do you plan on adding any color?

Not going  to add any color at this  time. I think if I was going to add color I would have done so before I put it all together. why don't you build one and use color and post it so I might have an idea on how to do it?

That is nice-I too know some farm folk so I will make them one!

I am Kicking around the idea of cutting them and selling some as a kit for the buyer to assemble.

1. it would give the buyer, who might like them and isnt a scroller to take on a fun task.

2. It might be seen as a rather fun little gift

3. It would make shipping easy and inexpensive for me.

4. The cost would be super inexpensive for me too.

Nice going Dick, not much demand for windmill in Arizona?????

I am considering making a kit and seeing what interest it brings. There are a lot of them still around in Eastern Oregon on some of the old family farms.  Fun to find out.

Hi Pete:
The people in Arizona probably haven't seen a windmill up close
This is your opportunity to start a  new fad.  Put one up where you are
and see how people react to it - Sales could be good for you
Just a thought

You have an eye for talent. I should send all my projects to you and you could colorize them for me...I wasn't able to even come up with an idea of what colors to use
