I finished this project this morning.  The pattern is by Jacob Fowler and found in the book “Woodworker’s Pattern Book”.  I cut it on the Pegas Scroll Saw using several Pegas #1R MGT blades.  The wood is1/2” unknown and 3/4” Red Oak for the base.  The finish is spray Minwax Lacquer Clear Satin.  Comments welcome.

Very nicly done.  Eagles are always a great subject.

How did you attache the cutting to the Base?  I've done a few cuttings like this and I add a tenon and mortise to make sure the cutting cannot be knocked free of the base.

Thanks Frank.  The base is screwed onto the upright.  I left some of the frets off the lower part so that I could screw onto the base.
