Some color to Jim Blume patterns

Thanks to Jim for these great patterns......It's been so hot that I have been unable to spend any time scrolling out in the garage, so I thought I would give watercolor pencils a try. The projects were previously triple stacked cut with # 3 and # 1 fd scroll reverse blades and I used Arteza 48 count watercolor pencils. Also, I Just want to say that I visit this website frequently and I have been inspired by and in awe of the wonderful group of talented scrollers that populate this site. Thanks to all..... Any and all critiques welcome.....forrest

Very nicely done, Forrest. It looks to me that you have both the cutting and the coloring down pretty darn good. Your pieces turned out great!

Very nice job! Love how the water color pencils worked, very smooth looking. I love the bull rider and the frame is perfect.

Wow!  Lately I have started to LOVE adding some color to the Project.

Your using the Water color pencils is Great and very well done.  Makes

these patterns Really look Alive.  I have cut both and with seeing yours

Looks like you have the hang of adding a little color. Those pencils are quite easy to work with and as you experiment a little, shading and blending colors can really make project pop.

I really like how your colors came out.. do you ever make videos? I what love to see how  you go about coloring these. I don't have very good luck when I try to do that.
