Popular Post oldhudson Posted August 21, 2022 Popular Post Report Posted August 21, 2022 A small piece of maple was given to me as a gift, first pic. I re-sawed off a 1/2" slice and cut this. The pattern I just did a screen capture off the internet and printed. This is about 4.5" square. Finished with Minwax pre stain conditioner, Minwax Golden Oak stain, and a couple of coats Minwax Tung Oil mixed with Waterlox varnish (16:1). A close examination shows how inconsistent my scolling is. Sometimes I think the grain of the wood pulls the cut away from the pattern or maybe my 'shakes' are more problematic than I know? Anyway thanks for looking. Wichman, frankorona, munzieb and 13 others 16 Quote
