Popular Post Denny Knappen
Heart Coaster finished Monday, August 22, 2022. The pattern is by Charles Hand and found in the book "Circular Scroll Saw Designs". I enlarged the pattern so that it is a trivet or wall hanger. I used 3/4" Hard Maple about 8" x 8". Cut on the Pegas scroll saw using Pegas #1R MGT blades. I used #1R MGT blades to see how they would cut 3/4" Hard Maple. Very impressed. After sanding with a Mac Mop, dipped in diluted Shellac and lightly sanded again. Two coats of MinWax Lacquer clear gloss. Comments welcome. bobscroll, jollyred, frankorona and 15 others 17
TAIrving
Very nicely done and very attractive. I am impressed that you could cut 3/4" hard maple with a #1R MGT blade.

I went through three blades on this project. FrankEV

Wichman
Two questions: 1. How much do you dilute the shellac? 2. What is/are the copyright limitations for the book? Personal use only, limited number of items, etc ? One of the issues of buying books online is there is no method to determine the copyright until the item is in our hot little hands, and the notice can change book to book even with the same author/publisher. Denny well done. Wichman This is the quote from Charles's web site stating you can it and sell it but not the pattern. This is pretty standard for all artists I think. NOTE: All images are protected by Copyright. Patterns are for your own use only. Do not Share, Sell or Distribute. Please DO NOT display patterns on Social media or otherwise without written permission by Charles Hand. A partial view may be accepted, but never the full view. When you purchase a pattern, you do not own it. You have only paid for the use of it. All patterns are the sole property of Charles Hand the designer. You can make as many copies as you prefer, cut as many portraits as you please, sell the finished product, but NEVER under any circumstance, are you permitted to sell, share or distribute a pattern. Thank you for supporting your artists and designers. It is very much appreciated. Wichman

Question #1 I dilute with denatured alcohol 50%. Looks like Don answered your second question. Wichman
