At long last

I have not done much scrolling this year because it has been far too cold in the garage even though I have a heater. But I have done a bit here and there and now they are finished i will show you.
They are Christmas cards, stack cut and finished with tape on the inside.

Nothing like a personalised card.
I thought I was the only one that used my saw to cut paper I must of cut out thousands of bits and pieces for Bette when she taught kindy.

Nice work.  That time of year is creeping up again.. When I was a kid is seemed to take a year for Christmas to come.  Now it happens almost weekly it seems.

Those are beautiful Marg. I really like that idea. I'm so used to cutting 1/2" oak I don't know how well I'd do cutting paper. What type paper do you use and how many do you stack cut? I'd love to do a few of these this year. Also, does the sticky side of the tape show through the cut out places?

I cut a Christmas card several years ago but I don't even remember now how I even did it. I  believe I saw the idea and how to do it on Steve Good's page if I remember correctly. You perked up some ears when you posted these. Nicely done and should be kept for the artistic special cards, they are

Down here you can buy 6 blank cards in a pack, so I tend to just cut the six.
I sandwich the cards between some very cheap thin ply.  I hold the cards and ply very tightly together, (needs to be tight to stop the card from moving), and hold the all together with sticky tape around the out side edges.
I can then attach the pattern to the top  piece of ply.
I use a #2/0 Olsen reverse tooth blade.
When finished I attach the colored tape with double sided tape.

Thanks Marg. I’m excited to give this a try. The only problem is this “very cheap” ply you mentioned. I don’t think we have that up here.
