jerry1939 Posted October 9, 2022 Report Posted October 9, 2022 Quit scrolling a few years ago & gave all woodworking tools to a son. Used shelf liner paper. To seperate, folded over a tiny corner. Took a ballpoint pen, pushed down hard on the corner and rubbed it back and forth until the layers seperated. Read in a woodworking magazine at our library to just attach masking tape to the top & bottom and pull apart. jerry LarryEA, meflick, jollyred and 5 others 3 4 1 Quote
LarryEA Posted October 10, 2022 Report Posted October 10, 2022 Don't have a son and don't know why I would want to separate lining paper. But thanks for the info. OCtoolguy and Wilson142 1 1 Quote
Wichman Posted October 10, 2022 Report Posted October 10, 2022 This is an awesome tip! Just tried it with clear office tape and worked like a charm. Thanks! Larry, some of us use clear shelf liner first, before attaching the pattern. LarryEA, OCtoolguy and new2woodwrk 3 Quote

meflick Posted October 10, 2022 Report Posted October 10, 2022 Thanks Jerry, I agree excellent tip and not one I had heard or read about before. While. I don’t use the shelf liner paper with patterns, I do use other similar types in other crafting I do that are often difficult to separate. However, like @John B my husband is always having me separate the plastic trash bags and plastic vegetable bags at the grocery store. John B and OCtoolguy 1 1 Quote

I don't know John, I have troubles with those veggie bags all the time. The tip for those was to touch the bin where the mist gets sprayed. John B 1 Quote

Roberta Moreton Posted October 13, 2022 Report Posted October 13, 2022 Fold it so the paper corner is folded down the plastic will be easier to pick up and the paper will want to stay folded down. Paper creases. Plastic doesn’t Quote
