Ives
I finally got a scroll saw to make wooden toys for my kids. I've been wanting to since last Christmas and this year I decided to just go for it. I love it! I've made a bunch of shapes, just need to sand them. But I have some questions about scroll saws because I'm not sure if I should get a more expensive one instead. Now to go ask my questions! Oges
Hi Rachel and welcome to the Village. What model saw do you have now? If your saw if variable speed and accepts pinless blades, then basically that's all you really need. But if you are just making toys you can probably get away with a pinned saw. I started out on a single speed, pinned blade saw and it was good enough for me to see that I enjoy scrolling and I then later updated to saw to a better one. Anyway I hope this helps with your questions.
