Freddie Mercury and David Bowie

These were both stencils found on the internet. I wasn't a huge fan of either singer in the day, though I do like a lot of Queen songs now and David's, "Space Oddity." I also love David's duet with Bing Crosby on Little Drummer Boy.  I found this piece of heart pine at a curb where some people are remodeling a century old home. Still highly prefer cutting oak but free is free. When I get this hung it will make number 99 on my shop walls.

Very nicely cut!  I would've recognized both of them without the post title.    And I suck at putting names and faces together.

 

I'm with you on their music for the most part, Bowie puts a good tune out, but I never really *got* his lyrics.  Queen, however...the more I hear them, the more I like them.

Big Queen fan here too, I love a lot of the earlier albums Queen I and II for example. Not a big Bowie fan but I'll make an exception for Under pressure with Queen.

Thank you Dick. I'm working on portrait #100 right now. When I get it done I was planning on posting photos that will show all of them.

Charlie, that's some top shelf cutting, you did a fantastic job on this piece. I listened to a lot of Queens music over the years, but there was only one David Bowie song that I cared for.
