Popular Post John B Posted October 16, 2022 Popular Post Report Share Posted October 16, 2022 (edited) Finally finished a bunch of tray puzzles. These are all cut from 6mm MDF with a 3mm MDF backer. They are A4 size. thanks for looking These 2 are pics of Primary School I work at. The Wife is the Principle. The building is 35 pieces and Mary 20 pieces. I donated these so that the school can raffle them. I have shown Dump Truck Puzzles before. I have completed 4 of them ranging from 14 to 20 pieces. Have already sold 2 These are from a book I down loaded a colouring page and modified it for the Butterflys The Number Puzzles are from the same book as the whales Noah's Ark................ A Steve Goode Pattern. I modified it a little by removing the "Fish" and replacing it with a rabbit. The dove is very small so I have glued that in place. Next ones I will modify a little more by having the dove outside of the ark and repositioning some of the animals. And I like the idea of the dove being outside, maybe carrying an olive branch. I don't cut any MDF. I ripped some in my carport once trying to make some cheap moulding and the amount of dust was incredible. How is the dust compared to wood when scrolling. You could just make the giraffe a tad bit taller with a longer neck and move it up a bit further from the bottom when you remove the dove. I do know what you mean by dust when working it though, the router is the worst. I have come of off a job looking like a snowman after some projects. I reckon I must look a sight when I take of the safety glasses and mask. I have dust collection on my saws and belt sanders and always have the windows and doors open to the shed. Hope you feel better soon mate. I'm guess I'm going to have to put some type of dust collection on my scroll saw. I have a Jet air filter but the dust goes right by my nose on the way to it. Every time I cut a puzzle and then paint or stain the pieces don't fit back in, too tight. How much slack is just right or too much?
