Meet 'Grace' our latest addition.  Not many of you know but my husband and I are both Championship Obedience judges here in the UK, and we compete with our own dogs too. ...... Since the Covid virus struck in 2019 we have done no shows, however, Tony (my husband) decided to go to a show that was local to us this weekend and work his 2 dogs as he is due to see a Spinal surgeon in November and we don't know what the future holds. He was fortunate enough to win both his classes which gave him a much needed boost to his morale and on the same day I introduced our latest addition, my very own 'Grace'. My old dog retired in 2020 and I've not done any shows since then but, with an eye to the future I kept Grace from our last litter in the hope that next year will be better than the last 4 and I'll finally be able to compete again.

ps, Here in the UK a RED ribbon means 1st place. 🤣

We really need a "wow" icon. This is fantastic. Here in the U.S. we have a problem with unregulated breeders.

Thank You, I thinks she's a pretty girl, but I'm biased as I brought her into the world.

Yes, we have the same problem over here too. Unfortunately this virus brought out a lot of people from the woodwork !!  Most just trying to supplement their income in these hard times. However, it was soon discovered that not only 'purebred' dogs could make you money but now you can sell Mongrels for a fortune as long as you give it a 'fancy' name, generally ending in 'oodle' or 'oo'.  Grace is our 14th generation pup as we have been breeding Shepherds for 35yrs but it would cost twice as much today for a mutt.🤪 Unfortunately it seems, over here at least, the bottom has fallen out of the 'market' and there are thousands of dogs of all makes and shapes languishing in 'rescue centres'. .... It seems to me that in general the world has 'gone to hell in a handbasket.. So sad. 🙈😥

I agree 100%. We watch a series by the name of "Dr. Jeff, Rocky Mountain Pet Vet" or something like that. Anyway, he spays and neuters every animal that comes through his facility if they haven't been already. Last night he was helping out a group who rescues animals from breeder when they no longer are viable. He hates all of these "breeders" who are only in it for the money and could care less about the quality of life of their breed stock. These poor critters have never felt ground under their feet. Only wire cages. Darned sad and they should all go to jail for animal cruelty. I'm happy for you guys and it sounds like your dogs live a good life. Thanks for posting.

Congrats on the new addition. My wife has trained dogs most of her life and is currently working with two Pappions (9yo and 1yo) for obedience. My buddy, a long hair Chihuahua, I have trained pretty darn good! I can tell him to "EAT" when I place food in front of him and he eats it up. I can sit in a chair and tell him, "Get in my lap and go to sleep," and he'll crawl into my lap and go to sleep. Anyway, love my little fur-buddies. By the way, names are Oreo, Hershey and Kiss. Kinda "sweet," don't you think?

Thanks for posting this Brenda. I like to see what you and Tony are up to with those dogs. It certainly has been a miserable last 4 years and it doesn't look as if it will improve anytime soon, just little pieces coming back bit by bit.

The dogs are gorgeous of course and I love seeing them.
