100 Portraits

I hung the 100th portrait in my shop today. There are a few I didn't count since they aren't really portraits, like Groot, The Weeping Angel and a couple of signs. If I counted correctly there are 146 individual faces in the 100 portraits.  So glad I somehow stumbled into this hobby. So many hours of fun, frustration  , and therapy.

That is pretty darn Cool.  The only other person I know that has something comparable to that is @munzieb with all his neat cars and planes pictures.  All my pictures sit in a box waiting for the big bonfire the kid are planing to have when I an gone..

Exactly what'll probably happen to mine. I hope they at least look on the back first because I've put their names of a few of them if it's a singer or actor they like. I'm planning to be cremated so maybe they can just throw them in with me and save time.

If I remember correctly the first one was Hoss from Bonanza, pattern by @Dan, about 4 years ago.

I reckon you could have a showing at a gallery with that lot Charlie. I have photo's of all mine
If I hung any in my shed you would not be able to tell in a few months as they would be covered in dust.
Just write prices on the back of them all, and I'll bet they go on ebay, not the fire when you give up the ghost

I'm like Hawk. I need wall space to hang some of my work. Right now they are just piled in a cabinet. Beautiful work you have there. Congrats on the 100. Now start working on 200!

...and I think picture frames are over rated.  

 

I am working on remodeling my shop.. almost done.  I was hoping that I would have some room to hang some of the things that I have made once I am done but it doesn't look like I will have much room.

I don’t dislike frames, I just like cutting thicker wood and I like the finished project to look like what it is. A picture cut in a chunk of wood.

I have highs and lows in my scrolling addiction. Hoss got me hooked on portraits. Glad you shared him. Sometimes I look at all of them and wonder why, but I think, I enjoy it, is reason enough. I think most everyone enjoys creating something.

If I had to guess which was your 1st, I would of said Clint, not because it's bad, but it's a simple cut. I have made a number of them.
