Jet Fliptop Stand?

Was searching for the Jet scroll saw for pricing and ran across one that was sold with the rotating stand.. never seen one of these before but I thought it was neat. While I'm not necessarily cramped for space I do have 3 sanders and a grinder that I have each mounted onto a stand of its own which does take up a considerable amount of space. I think if I had this thing I could mount all of them on this one stand.. Not sure but I already have nice stands for my bigger tools like the planer etc.. and I don't see myself liking having to rotate to access the tool I need to use.. I like to just walk up the the tool and turn it on and use it.. but these sanding tools I have would be fine as I could have the main used sander set up but the once a year that I might use the other sander or grinder I could just rotate for that use.

I could see this being quite handy for those with small shops.. Not cheap but practical for space saving.. Might could build something similar too I suppose.. I might grab one of these up if I find one on sale for black friday etc..

That looks like a great option for someone like me who struggles to build projects like that.

Just did a quick search for that.  Found a site that shows it in Canadian $$$.  Currently on sale for $517, regular $590.  Not sure if that includes shipping.  Sigh!!!!

Might have to find someone to build me one.

Built one for my first scroll saw and lathe.  Worked well but had to give it up when I got a bigger lathe and scroll saw.  Decided to build separate stand with wheels so I could move the one I wasn't using out of the way.  Still have the scroll saw on the stand that flips, but it is now on wheels and isn't flipped.

I have an old Craftsman rotating table that I have had for close to 30 years.  The idea was great but it is not practical for me.  Mine has 3 stations.  I have always had a spindle sander on one side, a disc/belt sander on another and the third side was left open as my worktop... I have a small shop.  Anytime that I need one of the sanders I had to clear off the worktop in order to flip the table.  Also the side that I used as my worktop had a piece of metal going across the table on both ends to help keep the table from flipping.  These pieces of metal didn't give me a truly flat worktop.  Most of the time I had to put a piece of plywood on the top to get a flat worktop.  I just remodeled my shop and currently have this table on Offerup for sale.  No one has even asked about it over the last couple of months.  Next week it is going to the dump!  Click the link to see the offerup add in order to see pics of it.

There's a guy near me who has one of those with 3 tools bolted to it. He's been trying to sell it for a couple of years at $500. No luck. If I had the space for it, I'd try to make him an offer. But, not gonna happen. Offer it up for free and save yourself a trip to the dump. Someone will always take something for free. Actually that reminds me of a joke.
There was a guy who had an appliance of some sort that he put out by the street and offered it up for free. But no takers. So, he put a "for sale" sign on it and asked $100. It disappeared that afternoon.

Well we all know that having one side as a workbench is a poor idea.. all the clutter finds its way to a table / bench or other flat surface to set something down.. I think it'd be better if it only had two sides rather than three.. that way one tool is always on top.. likely for me would be a most common used tool while other lesser used tools would stay on the bottom side until needed.

😂 Could mount a scroll saw on both sides then the wife could scroll on one side and me on the other.. though I suppose one would have to sit upside down.. flip a quarter to see who that would be for the week, 🤣

@OCtoolguy back in the early 90's my friend had a late 70's mustang that he was trying to sell.. he paid for a add in the local paper ( back before computer ads etc ).. he was asking $2 - 300 anyway not one single hit on it.. ran a couple more ads for a few more weeks.. a co-worker told him to ask $700 for it and he'd get more interest.. at $200 people thought it probably didn't run or ?.. anyway the day the paper come out at the $700 price the phone was blowing up and he sold it within a couple hours of the paper going out.. ran a couple weeks on the ad and had the phone going crazy the whole time, LOL

Little far for pick up.  I have three sanding tools that I would install.
