Since we go to Florida in a few days, we had our Christmas gifts exchange last Saturday. I made this for my father-in-law.

I made 18 of the small Nativities and about the same number of larger ones. On the larger, about half were natural and the others were painted flat white.

The small ones have a hook for hanging and given to relatives as my annual handmade ornament. Some of the larger ones were used as table decor at a church luncheon and then became door prizes along with some angels.

All patterns by Steve Good. 1/8" and 1/4" plywood.

Been one of those years.  Best I can muster is this piece, going to a co-worker who I know will get a kick out of it.

Awesome Pete. A bit of time put into making that. They will be both proud when they receive those art pieces.

I love it! Super awesome!

Thanks!!  I stack-cut two of them.  Wife took one look and said "not in my  house."  :)  Our senses of humor are....different.  I have a co-worker in another department that shares a very similar sense of humor, though, so it went to her on Tuesday.  She'd flown back in from an office move/setup, plane arrived around 1am Tuesday morning, and her boss said "tough, come in to the office."  I'd left it on her desk as I was working on some other tickets, and I think she had it hung up before she even took her jacket off.  Can't say as how I blame her.  LOL

Still need to do a bit of sanding on the ornaments but that's ok the critters don't care.....lol  The Karen one I need to send out yet.  The sign is for Hubby's shop, just got it finished today.  It is wrapped and setting behind a chair in the living room but out far out enough that it is easily seen from where he usually sits.  It could be a couple of days before he sees it..  Not a overly observant person......................lol

ps the board the letters are attached to he cut to size and sanded for me..............:)  Little did he know.

Made ornaments for friends and relatives again this year.

this is a Steve Good pattern that didn’t show up on his site but a web search gets it.  20 ornaments.  A keen eye will see two are reversed from the rest, as well as a few missed detail cuts on a few.  Nothing anyone can notice unless they are side by side; I’ve just got to work on double checking parts before the Final Cut.

My girlfriends mom is a big time gardener, so I made a complete set of plant stakes from our pattern library. She said, " I'm not putting those in the ground, they're too nice ".

3/8" elm, #1 FD polar blades, BLO finish. 21 stakes, 10 hrs cutting, just under 30 minutes per stake.

These are ornaments I made for the Festival of the Trees in Indianapolis. Our woodworking group will decorate a tree with scrolled, carved, and turned ornaments made by us. This event features over 70 trees, and is located at the Indiana Historical Society. This is a fund raiser for the Salvation Army. After the event, the ornaments will be sold.

There is some very neats item being shown here.  Really puts me in the mood!  Scrolled so much the past week that my thumb and forefinger on my right hand are real sore from holding and directing the cutting.  I will vacuum and dust the house after Christmas.  No one is coming anyway.
